This Refund Policy explains how deposits, milestone payments, and cancellations are handled for our services.
Last updated: November 2025
At The Biz Plans, our work is highly customized and time-intensive. This Refund Policy explains how payments, deposits, and refunds are handled when you engage us for business plan writing, financial modelling, or related consulting services.
All services are quoted on a project basis. Your acceptance of a proposal or payment of an invoice indicates your agreement with this Refund Policy as well as our Terms & Conditions.
Most projects require a deposit and may be divided into milestones, such as:
Deposits and milestone payments are used to reserve time in our schedule and to cover work completed up to that stage.
If you cancel a project before we have started work (no research or drafting performed), we may, at our discretion, refund up to 100% of the deposit, less any non-recoverable transaction or administrative costs.
Once we have begun work (including research, meetings, or drafting), the deposit becomes non-refundable, as it compensates for time and expertise already invested.
If you choose to stop or pause the project after work has started:
Projects rely on timely information from you. If there are long delays in supplying information, documents, or feedback (for example, several weeks or more):
Our proposals typically include a defined number of revision rounds within a set time frame (for example, revisions within 30 days of the first draft).
We will work with you in good faith to address reasonable revision requests that are consistent with the original scope. Changes that significantly alter the concept, structure, or scope may be treated as a change order and quoted separately.
A request for additional revisions beyond the agreed scope or time frame does not create a basis for a refund.
Our role is to prepare business plans and supporting documents based on the information you provide. We do not control and cannot guarantee decisions made by:
A loan refusal, visa refusal, or negative decision from any third party, on its own, is not a basis for a refund.
Our deliverables (business plans, financial models, templates, and related documents) are considered digital and intellectual work. Once drafts have been delivered, a refund is generally not possible, because the value of the work has already been transferred to you.
You agree to contact us first to discuss any concerns regarding billing, project quality, or timelines. Initiating a chargeback with your payment provider without first attempting to resolve the matter with us may be treated as a breach of our Terms & Conditions.
For short consultations or strategy calls (for example, one-time paid consults):
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
